Before your arrival we will provide you with a numerical house code for your particular week (code changes every week for safety purpose).
1) First go up on the deck. Walk to the right entry door. You will see a key box on the door handle. Use the numerical code to get the key.
2) You are entering the house through the mudroom. In the kitchen, on the bar, you will find additional keys ( two additional sets) and requested items (ski lift tickets, ect...)
3) You may park the cars in the garage to facilitate unloading. It is possible to enter the house through the garage first if you are familiar with the garage door opening procedure.
4) You can only park two cars in the garage. If you would like to bring more than two cars to the house, you may park the extra car(s) in the driveway. In the winter time: You must have a four-wheel drive vehicle. In the case of possible snowfall in the forecast, we advise you to park your extra car(s) in the parking lot of the ski resort. This will facilitate the snow removal in the driveway.
5) Please keep the garage door closed at ALL time when not in use to keep wild animals away.
6) Keep your trash in the garage in closed plastic bags. The management will pick up the bags. If you are staying longer than a week, please arrange with the management for trash collection.
7) Due to the soft nature of the wood floor, we would appreciate it if you don't walk in the house with your shoes. We have provided slippers located in the bench next to the entry door.
8) This is a NON-SMOKING house. This applies to the deck and the garage as well.
9) Pets are not allowed in the house or the garage.
10) CANDLES, BARBECUE LIGHTER, ALCOHOL FONDUE SETS, OPEN FIRES, ARE NOT ALLOWED in the house, garage, driveways or surrounding forest.
11) Please use only provided briquettes to light the wood stove.
12) It is recommended to use a small amount of toilet paper when using the toilets, because the toilets plug easily.
13) Please do not flush diapers or feminine hygiene items for the same reasons.
14) If you do not follow these last two instructions carefully, you will need the “toilet plunger” located in the storage room (in the basement).
15) The Jacuzzi is provided for your enjoyment. Limit the number inside the Jacuzzi to 4 persons (otherwise the water will overflow). If you plan to use it, adjust the temperature for your needs. Please leave the cover on when not in use. Do not bring glass items around the spa. Plastic glasses are provided for this purpose.
16) An electrical barbecue is stored in the garage for your enjoyment. If you are planning to use it, carry it onto the deck. The plug, located outside next to the Jacuzzi door can be used.
17) Please take some time to review the house instruction book located in the dining room.
18) We recommend to keep the thermostat at 60 degree in basement, minimum in the garage, 65 degree in first level and 65 degree on second level. Please close the windows when you leave the house. In the winter time: thermostat at 65 degree in basement, minimum in the garage, 70 degree in first level and 70 degree on second level.
19) Water conservation has become more important than ever. In an effort to help conserve the precious water supply, we offer the following suggestions: take brief showers; fill bath tub only half full; turn off water while brushing teeth; turn off water while shaving. we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these efforts.
20) In the winter
time: Please access the house with
your skis through the garage. Leave your skis in the ski room. Place your
boots and gloves on the boot dryer which works best when set at “low”.
Please do not use hot wax for your skis in the house or the garage. Please
do not walk in the house with your ski boots or regular shoes. We have
provided slippers located in the bench next to the entry door. The ski
slopes are within a short walking distance. You are REQUIRED
(by city ordinance) to walk on the access road and the bridge, on your
way to and from the ski slopes.
